Why typical natural insect repellents have short protection time? : "The effect of most plant-based insect repellents only lasts from several minutes to several hours due to their highly volatile active ingredients, so although they are effective repellents for a short period after application, they rapidly evaporated leaving the user unprotected. The exception to SOVOS Bioactive Insect Repellent has a lower vapour pressure that provides very high protection over 8 hours prolonging repellency time and a broad range of insect repelling vectors.

Safety measures for pet owners

2. Avoid ingestion: To prevent your pets from ingesting the repellent, please ensure that you apply it in a spot where they cannot lick or access the solution. A good practice is to apply it on a pad or cloth and then place it in an area where your pets cannot easily reach.

3. Use on a pad or cloth: Instead of applying the repellent directly onto your pet's fur, it is safer to apply it on a pad or cloth with three or four spritz. This allows for better control of the application and reduces the risk of accidental ingestion.

4. Do not overdose, three or four spritz for an area is normally more than sufficient. Follow the recommended application instructions: Be sure to read and follow the instructions on the product label carefully. Apply the recommended amount of repellent as directed, taking care to avoid sensitive areas such as the eyes, nose, and mouth.

5. Monitor your pets: After applying the repellent, observe your pets for any signs of irritation or discomfort. If you notice any adverse reactions, discontinue use immediately and consult your veterinarian.
